Mujeres al poder
Anoche se celebró la ceremonia de entrega de los premios Emmy 2017 en el Teatro Microsoft de Los Ángeles en la que el feminismo fue el gran triunfador.
Las reivindicativas series «The Handmaid’s Tale» y «Big Little Lies», ambas de HBO, acapararon la mayoría de premios principales y Julia Louis-Dreyfus entró en la historia de los galardones al hacerse con su sexto Emmy consecutivo a la mejor actriz de comedia por su papel de presidenta de los Estados Unidos en «Veep». «San Junipero», el bellísimo episodio de «Black Mirror» también protagonizado por mujeres, se alzó con el galardón a mejor T.V. Movie.
El apartado de interpretación de reparto en categoría comedia premió al longevo «Saturday Night Live» con sendos galardones para Kate McKinnon y Alec Baldwin y su celebrada imitación del presidente Donald Trump.
«Stranger Things» y «Westworld» fueron las grandes derrotadas de la noche a pesar de sus múltiples nominaciones y en Twitter volvió a resonar la indignación ante el ninguneo de la Academia de Televisión hacia «The Leftovers», que fue trending topic durante buena parte de la noche.
